Our COMMITMENT to you
Personal Health Information
Management of personal health received at our practice is treated with the strictest confidence. Confidentiality Agreements are in place with our staff. This information is required for our doctors to provide quality patient care. Please note you will automatically be placed on the national Reminder System unless you specify otherwise. If a copy of your health information is required, these are obtainable, however, specialist letters, pathology and radiology can be obtained from the individual companies directly.
Doctors policy receiving and returning telephone calls
All urgent phone calls will be triaged through to the nurse, who will put through to the doctor if required. For Non-urgent assistance a message will be taken by the receptionist and your GP will return the call between patients at his discretion.
Emergencies will be given priority.
Walk-in appointments will try to be accommodated; however booked appointments and emergencies will have priority.
Longer appointments are available on request.
Please advise reception staff if a longer appointment is required.
Home visits are available depending on the circumstances and are by appointment.
Recall and Follow up appointments
Recalls and follow up appointments are made once the doctor has received results. We will contact the patient by phone via text message or phone call to make a follow-up appointment if required. If there has been no follow up after 2 phone calls we then send a letter via registered post. Recall and follow up appointments can be made at any time with the doctor.
We are a mixed billing clinic. $70 for a standard consult and $110 for a long consult with a Medicare rebate we can do at the time of payment. Pension/Healthcare card holders and children 16 and under are still bulk billed. All Initial consult have a charge regardless of concession. Please be aware most doctors have a long consult for your initial appointment. These fees MUST be paid at the time of consultation. NO ACCOUNTS ARE GIVEN.
